Unlike some laser treatment centers, Atlantic Laser Hair Removal Center in Virginia Beach, near Chesapeake, was founded and continues to be run by a medical doctor, Timothy J. Hardy, M.D. Dr. Hardy is committed to helping patients rid themselves of unwanted hair through cosmetic laser treatment in a professional, clinical setting. His medical training allows him to provide superior care and ensure that each patient's safety and well-being are taken into account throughout the consultation and treatment process.

Meet Dr. Hardy

Dr. Timothy J. Hardy is a medical doctor who specializes in women's health care. He maintains a private medical practice in addition to Atlantic Laser Hair Removal Center in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake, and regularly writes for the regional magazine Tidewater Women.

Dr. Hardy received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. He completed his internship at Jersey Medical Center in Jersey City, New Jersey and his residency at Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C., before settling in Chesapeake to open his private practice in 1990.
Dr. Hardy recognizes that cosmetic problems such as unwanted facial or body hair can cause significant distress for patients and that effective laser hair removal treatment offers relief and improved self-confidence. He also believes that it is important for women to be able to receive these treatments in a safe medical setting where their health and well-being are properly considered and cared for.

Treatment Areas

At our practice, we can provide laser hair removal for almost any area of the body. The only place we do not perform the procedure is the skin immediately surrounding the eyes, as this poses a significant safety risk.
